Directions for Use
The average usage of Barleygreen is two or three teaspoons daily. Many people use more or less depending on age, nutritional needs etc. It is best to start out with a smaller amount say 1/2 teaspoon two times a day and increase the amount gradually every few days. Young children can start with 1/4 teaspoon daily and gradually increase up to 1 teaspoon daily. Teenagers usually increase up to two teaspoons a day. Athletes, people under a lot of stress and those following the Hallelujah Diet may use as much as 3-6 tablespoons each day. It is best to take Barleygreen 2-3 times a day and not all a once. Mix Barleygreen in 4 to 8 ounces of pure water or carrot juice. Avoid using cranberry or prune juices with Barleygreen. Chemists will tell you that the best way to take Barleygreen is dry under the tongue where is can be absorbed directly into the blood stream - Go for it! Best results are achieved by taking Barleygreen on an empty stomach, 30 minutes before eating or 2 hours after eating. This allows the nutrients to go quickly into your blood stream. Drink the Barley green right after it is mixed up. The nutrients are released when mixed with a liquid and will begin to deteriorate within a few minutes. Store your Barleygreen in a dry dark place at room temperature and do not heat or refrigerate it. Barleygreen has at least a three year shelf life so it is OK to buy a years supply to save money.
Meet our family. I (Loren) take about 3 tablespoons of Barleygreen each day mixed in about 4 ounces of purified water. I keep a jar of Barleygreen at the office along with a jug of purified water so I can drink some before leaving for lunch or dinner. My wife Kathy takes one to two heaping teaspoons a day in juice. We have four children (all boys) Michael is 10, Daniel is 8, Steven is 5 and Jason is 3. Michael and Daniel for the first few months thought this liquidy green stuff was disgusting. So I gave them Barleygreen in gelatin capsules. I put the Barleygreen in capsules myself but Barleygreen is also available in caplets. After several months Michael started taking 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon in a glass of juice and now takes a teaspoon per day - he now thinks it all right (most of the time). Daniel initially would only take it in capsules but now takes one teaspoon per day in juice. Steven and Jason being younger started right out drinking it in juice. They began with 1/8 to 1/4 of a teaspoon and are now taking 1 teaspoon in a glass of juice. Go slow with children over age 4, let them watch you. and over time they will become Barleygreen troupers too.

Question: What can I expect from taking Barleygreen?
Answer: The answer to this question varies from person to person and in a large degree will dependent upon your diet. A few people have experienced very quick recovery from arthritis and other illnesses but let's discuss what the average person will experience in the first month or two of Barleygreen usage. Many people experience an increase in energy and stamina, clarity of thought, less fatigue, and a lower sleep requirement. To some the change is immediate and with others is more gradual. A few people experience some discomfort for a few days while body tissues are being cleansed from toxins resulting from years of bad diet and drug usage. Symptoms could include headaches, a mild upset stomach, lightheadedness or tiredness. If these symptoms occur you can decrease the amount of Barleygreen you are taking and/or increase the amount of pure water that you drink to help purge the toxins. Taking Barleygreen after dinner may keep some folks awake longer than normal, others will find it relaxes them. Within two months of Barleygreen my family has increased in the consumption of raw fruits and vegetables and decreased the usage of animal and dairy products (I think having the Barleygreen in our bodies made us desire raw food more). Our immunity to sickness seems to have increased and my wife noticed that her skin heals quicker. I was having some lower back pain from extended sitting in an ergonomically incorrect chair and from carrying the kids a lot. A better chair helped but the later addition of Barleygreen eliminated the lower back pain. My wife's dad's dark spots in his skin (lever or old age spots) were almost totally gone within 2 months of using Barleygreen. I even heard of a story of a lady in intensive care that was going to die revived as a result of Barleygreen feeding. Each person is unique, try it for at least six to eight months, you'll notice the difference.
Question: Can Barleygreen hurt me?

Furthermore our digestive systems are so poor that we would have to eat many pounds of vegetables to equal the nutrition in a couple teaspoons of Barleygreen. Since the fiber has been removed the nutrients from Barleygreen can go immediately into our bloodstreams.
