I have Dr. Lee's book beside my bed and have been reading bits of his book each night. I have to add however, my intro to Dr. Lee was through another marvellous book: Passage to Power by L. Kenton. Natural progesterone has helped me enormously and I've made presents of both books to friends and advised them strongly to go onto natural progesterone. Thanks.

Thank God I had a MD who recognized I had a need for progesterone. After hearing my gyn doc tell me I needed antidepressants because of my mood swings (I'm 47 years old), I knew that it wasn't "in my head". I just got fed up with the mistreatment (not drawing blood levels to see where my hormone levels were), I went to a doctor who specializes in hormone treatment, got my levels done, and sure enough, my levels were very low...no wonder I was having such a hard time! Since I got on natural progesterone life has come back to me

I am seeing some pretty dramatic results with the natural progesterone! This is excellent!
I am feeling incredibly better and Dr. Lee's book has answered some long un-answered questions in my life. God truly does answer our prayers! Thanks so much. 8/07/00

I started using a natural progesterone cream about 6 months ago.I am still amazed at how powerful a cream can be.I feel balanced,my cystic breasts are much less tender,I sleep better and I now just forget sometimes that I'm premenopausal.I'm still working on the fatigue problem but I'm much better than I was before the cream.I'm also surprised that more women don't know about natural progesterone.I was fortunate to have a girl friend give me a copy of Dr.Lee's book (What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause). One she had gotten from her cousin and had stashed under her bed and didn't want to read because she wasn't old enought yet!Well I read the book and bought us both some cream. She thanks me often. I have enjoyed your site and the info on Natural Progesterone. 1-18-99

I don't understand if the problem in menopause is really lack of progesterone, then why does estrogen supplementation help relieve symptoms? Seems like it would make it worse, doesn't it?

I have been using progesterone cream for about 5 months and it has helped a great deal with PMS symptoms but have noticed increased scalp hair loss and some increase in facial hair growth the last couple months. I don't know if it is related. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Camund. Too much progesterone for an extended period of time can result in the progesterone receptors down-regulating (i.e. they don't accept as much progesterone) and the return of estrogen dominance. This usually happens around the 5th or 6th month of too much. Too much can be high amounts (more than 20-24mg of progesterone) on the days used and/or using it every day without a break. Cycling women often only need 10-15mg of progesterone because their body is still making some (unlike menopausal women that make very little).

Hair loss and facial hair growth are often caused by estrogen dominance.

natural progesterone cream saved my sanity. I use it once every 12 hours, with a break once a month. When I skip it I become a nervous reck, getting anything done is near to impossible without blowing up. I had 4 children in three years , I raised them without breaking a sweat. Dealing with menopause without progesterone is a nightmare. I also take calcium, vitamin D and magnesium.
