Here are four thyroid related reports to consider.

"I just wanted you to know what the diet has done for me. My thyroid has not been working properly for years, and I have been gaining weight--gained about thirty pounds just last year alone. I was also experiencing heart palpitations and hot flashes. Three and a half weeks ago, I started on the Hallelujah Diet and already my thyroid is responding beautifully, I have lost fifteen pounds and am no longer experiencing heart palpitations or hot flashes. Because of my experience on the Hallelujah Diet, my friend who has just been diagnosed with painful arthritis now has hope!" 1/29/2001

"My sister went on the Hallelujah Diet about six weeks ago. She had Graves' disease--a serious thyroid problem. She was on medication that had serious side effects, but her blood levels were high and she had to do something. Six weeks ago she saw your HOW TO ELIMINATE SICKNESS video and dumped her old way of eating and went on the Hallelujah Diet. Just three weeks after changing what she ate she called her doctor and told him she was quitting the medications because of the side effects. He ordered a blood test and she called me today with the results. Her levels are completely NORMAL." 2/7/2001

"Stephen, at age 24 years old, had a mental breakdown. He had been living away from home for a year and did not have a good diet. He had myxedema from a dysfunctional thyroid gland and mono. Due to his unusual behavior, he was admitted to two mental hospitals for 24 days. ...We were introduced to the Hallelujah Diet.... we made a quick transition from the Standard American Diet (SAD) to our healthy vegetarian diet .... Stephen now has renewed hope. His excellent memory has been restored. Stephen's emotional stability is now back in balance, and he is again thoughtful and considerate of others. ..
We praise and thank Jesus for answering our fervent prevailing prayers for Stephen by leading us to the Hallelujah Diet." 2001

....I have been taking thyroid medicine, high blood pressure medicine and heart medication for several years and after just one week on the juice and vegetable diet I feel better than I have in years. . . ." 12/21/2000

HYPERTHYROID. Has anyone had the Iodine treatment for hyperthyroidism, took the medication that "will have to be taken the rest of your life" and then was able to be healed? I'm not sure if the treatment kills the thyroid or if there is still hope of recovery and getting off the medication

Do some research on the drug you are taking. For starters go to http://webmd.com and do a search on the drug name and look for info on side effects, who should not use the drug etc. If the drug does damage it would likely be dependent on how long it has been used.

Around 90% of all disorders can be overcome or dramatically improved using nutrition. Any situation can be overcome by faith, miracles, healing by beleiving the Word of God for with God all things are possible. Nutritionally I don't have a testimony that directly addresses your question. Many times doctors will say that things cannot be reversed simply because they don't know any better. Doctors are constantly amazed by people that do things with nutrition that they thought were impossible. They simply have not been taught. The best way of finding out for your self is to give it a try for 3-4 months and see what your experience is. If notice substantial improvement your doctor can do some tests to determine if you still need the medication. The BarleyLife contains whole kelp. Kelp contains small amounts of iodine which can be beneficial to the thyroid.

I've been diagnosed with Graves Disease (Hyperthyroidism)by my OB/Gyn. My TSH level is 0.03 and am scheduled to go to an Endocronologist on June 15th, 2006. I think that I have had this condition for a little over 2 years now and have gained (yes gained={ 20lbs.; I have lost a considerable amount of my shoulder length hair; tachacardia (maybe 2-3 times a week) and letherygy-too tired to work out; go to work and be a supportive wife and mom of a 12 and 7 year old. I have a few other mild symptoms but I don't want to take the radioactive iodine and then stay on a pill a day for the rest of my life, which is the normal course of treatment. I'm going to research the hallelujah diet. What other natural type cures have been successful? Please let me know. I am continuing to get prayer and pray myself. I am a firm believer that the Lord has put on His earth remedies for us to use. I also believe that He has given wisdom to doctors to help us, but I don't think that the medical profession as a whole is very educated on natural cures through diet and herb supplimation etc. I just don't to take medication that bring along side effects.
