I had my first bout with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 1996 (although the doctor did not diagnose it as such at the time and tried to make me think I had a mental problem). I made some diet changes at that time and my condition improved. This past summer I slipped back into my old eating habits - high fats and sugar. In September 1998, I lost the use of my legs and my left arm. I was quite a sight. I tried to joke about it because I did not want to cry. This time the doctor did diagnose me with MS and placed me on steroids - YUCK!!! I wept for days when I started the injections! Then I read Dr. Malkmus' book, God's Way to Ultimate Health. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that what I have put into my body over the last 27 years is the reason I have this dreaded disease. Well, I have two choices - life or death, and I CHOOSE LIFE! I have now been eating God's Way for a month. In one month, I have lost 10 pounds, have more energy, and can WALK a mile. PRAISE THE LORD! No one realizes how valuable every step is until the ability to walk has been taken away. I cherish each day as a gift from God, and look forward to the long hikes my husband and I will soon be taking, thanks to you Dr. Malkmus and your ministry!" Cheryl 2/12/99 (HT67)
