AIM Cellsparc Q Short Description and Technical Bulletin

Coenzyme Q10

Coenzyme Q10 is found in the cells of all living organisms, where it functions as the spark that ignites the creation of energy at the cellular level.

AIM's CellSparc Q is a bright, yellow-orange powder that is extracted from plant sources. It comes in easy-to-swallow capsules that contain 30 mg of pure Coenzyme Q10. Because of its pure form, AIM's CellSparc Q dissolves rapidly for optimum results. (Other Coenzyme Q10 is often in tablet form. The binders needed to make these tablets can inhibit the assimilation of the Coenzyme Q10, or even totally block its absorption.) The body can absorb quickly and use the CoQ10 in AIM's CellSparc Q because it is a fine powder.

Coenzyme Q10 acts as a catalyst in the vital biological pathway that leads to energy production at the cellular level. Every cell must have a special substance known as ATP, which provides all UK cell's energy. Coenzyme Q10 plays an important role in the body's continuous production of this vital substance.

CellSparc Q comes in a jar containing 60 capsules in protective packaging.

COENZYME Q10 TECHNICAL BULLETIN

FEATURES

Coenzyme Q10 is a substance found in the cells of all living organisms, and is the spark that ignites the creation of energy at the cellular level. AIM's CellSparc Q is a bright, yellow-orange powder that is extracted from plant sources. It comes in easy-to swallow capsules that contain 30mg of pure Coenzyme Q10. Inexpensive brands of Coenzyme Q10 often contain only small amounts of Coenzyme Q10 and may include cereal fillers, yeast, sugar, egg or milk derivatives, artificial flavors and coloring agents. AIM's CellSparc Q contains no artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors.

For this reason, the CoQ10 in AIM's CellSparc Q dissolves rapidly for optimum results. Other Coenzyme Q10 is often in tablet form. The binders needed to make these tablets can inhibit the assimilation of the Coenzyme Q10, or even totally block its absorption, allowing it to pass whole through the digestive system. Being a fine powder in easy to digest capsules, the Coenzyme Q10 in AIm's CellSparc Q can be quickly absorbed and utilized by the body.

BENEFITS

Coenzyme Q10 is found in every cell in the human body, and is the key to the process that produces 95 percent of the energy consumed at the cellular level.

It participates in this important role by acting as part of another class of substances, known as enzymes. These important compounds are proteins found in plants, animals, humans - all living things. Their role is to facilitate, to act as catalysts, in countless chemical reactions that take place constantly in the human body. In essence, they make reactions happen without themselves being consumed in the reaction. When calcium is turned into bone, an enzyme makes the reaction possible, but the enzyme itself does not end up becoming part of the bone. When we digest our food, when we flex a muscle, when our heart beats, in some way an enzyme is playing a key role.

These enzymes consist of two parts, a protein portion made up of one of a variety of amino acids, and a cofactor portion that is either a mineral (like calcium, magnesium, or zinc) or a vitamin. If the cofactor is a vitamin, the vitamin is called a coenzyme.

Coenzyme Q10 is a naturally occurring molecule that has a structure similar to vitamin K.

As part of an enzyme, it acts as a catalyst in the vital biochemical pathway that leads to cellular energy production.

Specifically, every cell must have a special substance known as ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which provides all the cell's energy. The energy obtained from the food we eat is used to make this fuel for the cells, and when a cell needs energy, it breaks the bonds that hold the ATP molecule together. When this chemical bond is broken, it releases energy equivalent to approximately 7,000 calories, more than twice as much energy as a person consumes in an entire day. However, the body, at any given time, only stores enough ATP to sustain vigorous activity for 5 to 8 minutes. Thus, ATP must be produced constantly, and for this ATP to be produced, there must be a ready supply of Coenzyme Q10.

This explains why, in particular, Coenzyme Q10 is found in high concentrations in muscle cells, and especially in the muscles that form the heart - because, since it is constantly in motion, it creates a great demand for energy, and at the same time, a need for the Coenzyme Q10 to create it.

DIRECTIONS

One or two capsules per day is recommended.

For best absorption and assimilation, CellSparc Q should be taken with meals.

The results experienced by users of CellSparc Q varies with each individual. Some people notice benefits immediately, with others, the results are seen after six to eight weeks.

Coenzyme Q10 is not recommended during pregnancy or lactation without consulting a physician.

QUESTIONS

What is the shelf life of Coenzyme Q10 ?

Under the proper conditions, and with the proper storage, CellSparc Q has an almost indefinite shelf life. If the capsules are removed from the jar, the Coenzyme Q10 in the capsule, and the capsule itself, can be affected by high humidity. Coenzyme Q10 is also susceptible to high heat. In fact, this is a means of measuring the purity of the product: the lower the melting point, the greater the purity of the Coenzyme Q10. AIM's CellSparc Q has a melting point of 117 degrees, one of the lowest in the industry, indicating it is a pure source of this important nutrient. This, however, means it must be stored away from heat sources, and out of direct sunlight, otherwise the Coenzyme Q10 can be damaged.

Why should I take Coenzyme Q10?

Various studies have found that as we age, our body's supply of Coenzyme Q10 slowly diminishes. Clearly, it is beneficial to provide the body with an adequate supply of this important nutrient. However, finding healthy food sources of Coenzyme Q10 can be difficult. Typically, Coenzyme Q10 is found in the greatest concentration in animal muscle tissue, such as beef, pork, or lamb. In fact, beef heart and liver are two of the highest food sources. For many people, with concerns about fat content and other negatives associated with meats, these foods do not offer an acceptable source of Coenzyme Q10. AIM's CellSparc Q provides a way of maintaining your body's levels of this important nutrient without compromising other nutrition considerations.

Where does AIM's Coenzyme Q10 come from?

Plant sources do provide some Coenzyme Q10, although in relatively small amounts. AIM's CellSparc Q comes entirely from a vegetable source. The Coenzyme is extracted and collected, providing a means of getting high quantities of Coenzyme Q10 from a vegetable source.

Is it alright to take more than the recommended amount?

Coenzyme Q10 is not toxic, so larger amounts are acceptable, depending on your own assessment of your nutritional needs. An intake greatly exceeding the recommended amount, though, is simply unnecessary because the amount available in two capsules will meet most people's nutritional needs.
